The Eight Tools That Build Every Free Plan Here
Demo content — Kerfline & Co. is a fictional woodshop. This site is a demo of the KeoCodes Site Engine: the maker, plans, prices, reviews and town stand in for a real shop's, checkout charges nothing, and nothing sent from here reaches anybody.
Every free plan here can be built with these. Buy them as you need them, not all at once.
- Tape measure and combination square. Square is the one to spend money on.
- Circular saw with a straight board clamped on as a guide.
- Jigsaw for curves.
- Drill/driver and a countersink bit.
- Four bar clamps, at least 24 inches.
- A sharp 3/4-inch chisel.
- Random-orbit sander with 120 and 180 grit.
- A flat surface. A sheet of plywood on two sawhorses works. Check it with a straightedge.
What to add next
A table saw changes everything, but it's also the tool most likely to hurt you. Learn on the circular saw first, and read the manual twice when you get one.
